Alarm Installer/Technician
Mill Valley, CA

​General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair alarm systems both with a crew and independently for residential, commercial, small business, and industrial sites.
• Configure, program, install, test, dismantle, and reconstruct alarm systems, and assist in basic customer training in the use of all system functions.
• Drill and cut holes for installing censors as directed.
• Pull and fish wires in attics and crawl spaces, run wire under carpet, above false ceilings, etc.
• Write routine reports documenting work done on each site.
• Drive, re-stock, and maintain cleanliness and organization of company work van and it's contents.
• Read building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints and schematics when needed.
• Follow all safety and installation requirements, such as using of protective masks and foot covers when entering homes, following drilling safety procedures, and identifying water, electricity, and gas shut offs.
• Ensure the client's home/business is always clean, undamaged, and free of any installation debris.
• All employees of Redwood Security are required and expected to uphold a high level of professionalism and respect when completing their duties, and especially when interacting with clients and entering residential spaces.

Requirements:

• All employees will receive thorough training, however, to perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily and demonstrate a positive and professional customer service attitude.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and driving history that meets company standards throughout employment.
• Fluent in English; Able to read and interpret documents such as schematics, procedure, manuals, safety rules, maintenance instructions, and routine reports.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, talk, and hear. The employee will operate power tools such as electrical drills, and hand tools such as a screwdriver. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will drive from job to job, which may include several hours of driving per day. 
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to high places and risk of electrical shock.

Alarm Dispatch
Mill Valley, CA

​General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive and respond to alarms and emergency calls promptly at our our central monitoring station to help customers during potential emergencies.
• Quickly dispatch outbound calls to customers, police agencies, and fire departments, and emergency contacts.
• Provide Customer Service when needed; respond to and transfer customer calls with professionalism, answer basic questions, and redirect customers to help them attain the information they are looking for.
• Basic data entry and use of computers, printers, and standard telephones.

Requirements:

• Must be proficient with computers and be able to perform quickly and calmly under pressure.​
• Fluent in English, excellent communication and listening skills.
