Because Redwood Security is an independent alarm company, it is not limited in its selection of alarm equipment. Redwood Security selects equipment only from established manufacturers with proven, reliable products that are best suited for each application, including primarily Honeywell products. Whether residential, commercial, or industrial, each installation can be customized to the customers needs with a wide selection of reliable, programmable panels and equipment.
We install both wired and wireless systems, and have developed concealed wiring techniques that are unique in the industry. Aesthetics are taken into account on every Redwood Security installation by balancing location, visual impact and equipment selection to achieve a highly satisfactory result. Our technicians are unequaled in their ability to design, install, and maintain your security system.
Redwood Security also owns and operates its own state of the art Underwriter's Laboratories (U.L.) listed central station in Marin County which monitors, receives, and processes all dispatches and and service calls 24/7. Redwood Security customers benefit from free system installations, free labor and parts for repairs, full ownership over their security equipment-- not a lease-- and no long-term service contracts. Redwood Security guarantees the most reliable and personal home security service to any of it's competitors.

KeypadThe push-button keypad is the hub of your alarm system that has many functions.
• Arming & Disarming your security system. • Changing, Adding, or Deleting Code Numbers when necessary. • Monitored System: When the alarm system is activated, a message is transmitted to the alarm company's central station and the appropriate agency is dispatched. • Entrance-Exit Time Delay: A delay time is programmed into the system to allow the operator to leave after the system is turned on. Upon entry, a soft tone will remind the user to turn off the system prior to the alarm activating. • Stay Command: While using the 'stay' command, the perimeter doors, windows, and glass break detectors can activate while leaving the interior motion detectors deactivated. All family members, including pets, can move freely throughout the home and sleep soundly at night knowing the home's perimeter is protected. • Panic Button: Press star (*) + pound (#) on your keypad to activate an emergency panic alarm, even if the alarm system has been turned off. Portable Panic Buttons are small transmitters that can be carried in a purse or worn as a pendant that will activate the panic alarm when within 100 feet of the premises. |
Door & Window Contacts
Contacts are concealed magnetic switches that detect the opening of a door or window.
Double Position Window and Door Contacts are a second magnetic switch installed so that a sliding door or window can be partially opened for ventilation while the system is armed.

Glass Break Detectors
Glass Break Detectors activate the alarm system when detecting the sound of breaking glass, and are often included in the system design. Glass break detectors use Multiple Domain Signal Analysis, in which time, frequency, and amplitude characteristics are evaluated for signal qualification, and can be set to match the acoustics of the room. This enables the detector to accurately discriminate false alarms from true glass-break events. Glass break detectors can work on all glass types, including plate, tempered, laminated, wired, film-coated, and sealed insulating glass.
Infrared Motion Detectors
Infrared Motion Detectors senses motion based on changes in the background heat signature, and can "see" or detect movement by an intruder without needing a camera lens. Pet Exclusion Motion Detectors are designed to accommodate the movement of pets within the protected area.
Fire System
A fire system is active 24/7 and activates an audible alarm and notify the fire department even if the security system is not "armed." A fire system consists usually of heat, smoke, and/or carbon monoxide detectors.
Heat Detectors detect high temperatures or temperatures that are rising unusually fast, and are installed in areas where a fire is most likely to occur, such as kitchens, furnace and water heater rooms, laundry rooms, garages, and rooms with fireplaces.
Smoke Detectors detect smoke, and are installed in the hallways outside of the bedrooms.
Carbon Monoxide Detectors alert homeowners of carbon monoxide in the air, a colorless, odorless, tasteless, poisonous gas. These alarms provide an early warning in the event of a carbon monoxide leak which are usually caused by furnaces, drying machines, fireplaces, chimneys, or garages.

Flow Switch Monitoring
Water flow detectors monitor the flow of water to sprinkler heads. In the event of a fire when water begins to flow through the fire sprinkler system, an alarm signal is sent to the central station.
